Created in 1975, Radio France is the leading French public-service cultural broadcaster, managing public radio stations in metropolitan France, four orchestras and choirs, and a record label.

For the 2020 French municipal elections, Radio France was looking for a solution to cover the results for each town in real-time – content that would be published on the website of its local radio network, France Bleu.

With the coverage being impossible to balance with journalists’ workloads, Radio France turned to Syllabs for support with this important event.

Syllabs

Building on its experience with Le Monde, which published the world’s first automated coverage of election results during the 2015 municipal elections, Syllabs has developed automated news feed providing coverage of every electoral event for every media outlet.

This solution enabled France Bleu to cover the election results in France’s 35,000 towns in real time (as soon as the Ministry of the Interior’s data was available). Every article was unique and compatible with Google’s indexing rules. In addition, Syllabs automatically generated infographics presenting the scores.

Ahead of this hot news coverage, Syllabs provide “cold” information on the results of the previous elections to optimize the upcoming election pages for web searches.
